<p>Louise Cummings is Professor in the Department of English&nbsp;​and Communication and Associate Dean for Research in the Faculty of Humanities&nbsp;at&nbsp;​The&nbsp;Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She teaches and conducts research in pragmatics​,&nbsp;clinical linguistics&nbsp;​and public health.
