This book is a compilation of peer-reviewed papers presented at the International Conference on Machine Intelligence and Data Science Applications, organized by the School of Computer Science, University of Petroleum & Energy Studies, Dehradun, India, during 4–5 September 2020. The book addresses the algorithmic aspect of machine intelligence which includes the framework and optimization of various states of algorithms. Variety of papers related to wide applications in various fields like data-driven industrial IoT, bioinformatics, network and security, autonomous computing and various other aligned areas. <p><b>Dr. T P Singh</b>&nbsp;is currently positioned as Professor and Head of&nbsp;the&nbsp;Department&nbsp;at&nbsp;the&nbsp;School of Computer Science, University of Petroleum & Energy Studies, Dehradun, UK. He holds Doctorate in Computer Science from Jamia Millia Islamia University, New Delhi. He carries 22 years of rich experience with him. He has been associated with Tata Group and Sharda University, Greater Noida, NCR, India. His research interests include machine intelligence, pattern recognition and development of hybrid intelligent systems. He has guided 15&nbsp;masters theses. Currently,&nbsp;05 research scholars are working towards their&nbsp;doctoral&nbsp;degree under him. There are more than dozens of publications to his credit in various national and international journals. Dr. Singh is a member of various professional bodies including IEEE, ISTE, IAENG,&nbsp;etc.,&nbsp;and also on the editorial/reviewer panel of different journals.</p><b>Dr. Ravi Tomar</b>&nbsp;is currently working in the capacity of Assistant Professor (Selection Grade) in&nbsp;the&nbsp;School of Computer Science at University of Petroleum & Energy Studies, Dehradun, India. He is&nbsp;Experienced Academician with a demonstrated history of working in the higher education industry.&nbsp;He is&nbsp;skilled&nbsp;in Programming, Computer Networking, Python, Oracle Database, C++, Core Java, J2EE, RPA and CorDApp.&nbsp;He is&nbsp;a&nbsp;true believer in hard work and an Indian by heart. His research interests include&nbsp;wireless sensor networks, image processing, data mining and warehousing, computer networks&nbsp;and VANET. He has authored more than 30 papers in different research areas,&nbsp;filed&nbsp;one patent and have authored 2 books. He has&nbsp;delivered training&nbsp;to corporates nationally and&nbsp;internationally&nbsp;on RPA, Blockchain, CordaApp, J2EE and IoT to clients like Union Bank of Philippines, Ernst and Young, Deloitte. He is currently working on two consultancy projects on Irrigation and Book ATM. He has conducted&nbsp;international&nbsp;conferences in Paris and Kathmandu.<p></p><p><b>Dr. Tanupriya Choudhury</b>&nbsp;received his bachelor’s degree in CSE from West Bengal University of Technology, Kolkata, India, and master’s&nbsp;degree&nbsp;in CSE from Dr. M.G.R University, Chennai, India. He has received his&nbsp;Ph.D.&nbsp;degree in the year 2016. He has&nbsp;ten&nbsp;years&nbsp;of&nbsp;experience in teaching as well as in&nbsp;research. Currently,&nbsp;he is working as&nbsp;Associate Professor in&nbsp;the&nbsp;Department.&nbsp;of CSE at UPES Dehradun. Recently,&nbsp;he has received Global Outreach Education Award for Excellence in best Young researcher Award in GOECA 2018 His areas of interests include&nbsp;human computing, soft computing, cloud computing, data mining,&nbsp;etc. He has filed 14 patents till date and received 16 copyrights from MHRD for his own&nbsp;software. He has been associated with many conferences in India and abroad. Hehas authored more than 185 research papers till date. He has delivered invited talk and guest lecture in Jamia Millia Islamia University , Maharaja&nbsp;Agrasen&nbsp;College&nbsp;of Delhi University , Duy Tan University Vietnam,&nbsp;etc. He has been associated with many conferences throughout India as&nbsp;a&nbsp;TPC member and&nbsp;Session Chair&nbsp;He is a lifetime member of IETA, member of IEEE,&nbsp;and member of IET(UK) and other renowned technical societies. He is associated with Corporate,&nbsp;and he is Technical Adviser of Deetya Soft Pvt. Ltd. Noida, IVRGURU&nbsp;and Mydigital360. He is holding the post of Secretary in IETA (Indian Engineering Teacher’s Association-India),.&nbsp;He is also holding the&nbsp;advisoradviser&nbsp;position in INDO-UK Confederation of Science, Technology and Research Ltd., London, UK,&nbsp;and International Association of Professional and Fellow&nbsp;Engineers, Delaware, USA.<br></p><b>Dr. Thinagaran Perumal</b>&nbsp;is the recipient of 2014 Early Career Award from IEEE Consumer Electronics Society for his pioneering contribution in the field of consumer electronics. He completed his&nbsp;PhDPh.D.&nbsp;at Universiti Putra Malaysia, in the area of smart technology and robotics. He is currently&nbsp;Senior Lecturer at the Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology, Universiti Putra Malaysia. His research interests are towards interoperability aspects of smart homes and&nbsp;the&nbsp;Internet of&nbsp;things&nbsp;(IoT), wearable computing,&nbsp;and cyber-physical systems. Thina is also heading the National Committee&nbsp;on Standardization for IoT (IEC/ISO TC / G/16) as Chairman since 2018. He has been invited to give several keynote lectures and plenary talk on IoT.<p></p><b>Dr. Hussain&nbsp;Falih&nbsp;</b>Mahdi&nbsp;is a&nbsp;Lecturer&nbsp;at Computer and Software, College of Engineering, University of Diyala, Iraq. He has a great background of Electrical & Electronics with an experience of nearly two decades. He received the&nbsp;Ph.D.&nbsp;from&nbsp;the University&nbsp;of Kebangsaan Malaysia and Master of Science from&nbsp;the&nbsp;University of Technology, Bagdad, Iraq. He is IEEE Region 10 Young Professional Committee South-East Asia&nbsp;Coordinator&nbsp;(2017–2019), IEEE Region 10 Humanitarian&nbsp;Activities Committee&nbsp;(2017–2020), IEEE PES Young Professional Committee&nbsp;Academic&nbsp;Lead&nbsp;(2017–2020), IEEE IAS Chapters Area Chair, R10 Southeast Asia, Australia and Pacific (2018–2019),&nbsp;IEEE Region 10 PES students Chapters Chair (2019–2020), IEEE PES Day 2019 Global Chair&nbsp;and&nbsp;an&nbsp;IEEE HAC Event committee member 2019–2020. During serving under IEEE,&nbsp;he won the Student Leadership Award 2014 & 2015 from UKM, IEEE Malaysia Student Leadership Award&nbsp;2015, Best Social Activity Award 2015, IEEE Malaysia Section Outstanding Student Volunteer Award 2015, 2016 DARREL CHONG AWARD winner Silver category for project entitled Asian School on Renewable Energy,&nbsp;winner Bronze category for project entitled Flood Relief Missions, IEEE MGA Young Professional Achievement Award 2017,&nbsp;and 2018 Young Professionals Hall of fame Award for IEEE PES Young Professionals&nbsp;Committee.<p></p>
